** The party begins standing on the stem of the Yggdrasil Tree.
-- You find yourselves in a strange place. You have no idea how you got here or why you are here.
-- The nearby berries seem familiar somehow.
Ecin: My memory is shady, yes.
-- The leaves seem familiar as well, but something is odd about them.
-- It seems the others aren't here.
-- It's best you figure out what to do next.
Ecin: Explore,  Gen?
Genryuu-dono: We probably need to walk.

** Scene Change: Niflheim Field 1
-- You come out in a mysterious area.
-- It's far too quiet.
Genryuu-dono: Pretty.
Ecin: Pretty dead, you mean.
Ecin: Pretty interesting, too.
Ecin: Gen, any ideas?
Genryuu-dono: Just follow the road, I guess.
Ecin: Remember when we were told to go to a graveyard? (2)
Ecin: We went to Glast Heim back then... Maybe we should have come here. (2)
Genryuu-dono: I remember now.
Ecin: Maybe that Jailer is around. (2)
Genryuu-dono: You missed that part. (3)
Genryuu-dono: The Jailer works for Almanos. (3)
-- The bones of many dead animals and ancient warriors lay around.
Ecin: Well, isn't the Jailer supposed to be our guide? (3)
-- Somehow, rather than scary, the place feels very sad.
** The party reaches a bridge.
Ecin: I don't like bridges.
Ecin: They tend to fall.
Ecin: Sigh...
Genryuu-dono: It's creaky.
-- *creeaaaak*

** The party reaches the second field area.
-- This is the sad land beyond the Yggdrasil Tree's Stem.
-- It was basically destroyed in a great war between the gods, many centuries ago.
-- It is called Niflheim, and is now considered The Land of the Dead.
Genryuu-dono: Sounds like a fun party.
Ecin: You know how, wherever you go, there is someone willing to explain that the world is slowly dying?
Ecin: Well, here's your proof, Gen.
Genryuu-dono: This is a chipper place.
Ecin: At least, it was.
Ecin: There's nothing left but memories of a creation that isn't any longer.
Ecin: We should continue...
-- Wait.. Something is coming.
Ecin: Gen, I know you're strong, but don't go directly into danger.
Genryuu-dono: Okay.
!! A Ghostring appears.
Ecin: Ghosts... Not good.
!! They defeat the Ghostring.
-- How sad, there are still wandering souls that cannot pass into the afterlife...
Genryuu-dono: My specialty.
Genryuu-dono: Undead.
Ecin: Ghosts aren't exactly undead, however.
Genryuu-dono: True.
Ecin: They usually have some form of a mind.
Ecin: Unlike zombies.

** They approach a cliff where there is a small town. A tomb lays in the middle of the town.
-- In the distance, the remains of a town that was once the capital of an ancient kingdom..
Ecin: They really liked celebrating Halloween, I bet.
-- The shape of the houses? No, that's not natural..
Genryuu-dono: Looks very sad.
Ecin: ...There's a tomb in the center of the town.
-- The tomb is that of their king. He died in war.
Ecin: Gen, everything is purple.
Genryuu-dono: How did he die, I wonder..
Genryuu-dono: Do you not like purple?
Ecin: The gods decided to use this town as their playground.
Ecin: The king decided to protect it.
-- Almanos protected the king, but failed.
Ecin: Thus...
-- Neliad overtook them and killed the king, however.
-- With the help of the king of the neighboring kingdom to the east.
Ecin: Gen, have you heard of Neliad?
Ecin: I can't recall him.
-- Those were the supporters of Neliad.
Genryuu-dono: No, I haven't.
Ecin: We must continue, then...
Genryuu-dono: Maybe he is the one we are seeking.

** The party walks along a very small strip of land that has endlessly deep holes on both sides.
Ecin: I can only imaagine what kind of power created these cliffs.
-- There is only darkness to both sides.
Genryuu-dono: I wonder if there is a bottom..
-- It is indeed unnatural, and you can feel faint energy.
-- Throw a spirit sphere into it?

** The party approaches a bunch of graves.
Ecin: More tombs.
Ecin: More ghosts might appear.
!! Several Ghostrings appear.
-- Many ghosts have indeed appeared.
Ecin: Let's run.
Ecin: Gen, hurry, would you?

** The path they try to take is blocked by at tree.
-- Looks like you have no choice.
!! They defeat the Ghostrings and rush onward.
Ecin: Let's get out before more trouble brews.

** They reach the entrance to the town of Niflheim.
-- You feel a powerful and dark energy ahead. You should rest here.
Ecin: In a middle of a tomb?
-- It is more powerful than anything you've ever felt before.
Ecin: I don't think that's much better.
Ecin: Gen.
Ecin: Call on the jailer.
Ecin: She should be able to hear us now.
-- I'm afraid not. You're all alone in this darkness.
Ecin: Unless we are outside of Almanos's realm.
-- Noone can hear you. Not even those closest to your hearts.
Genryuu-dono: I couldn't remember the name, anyway.

** They enter the town. It is absolutely deserted.
-- It is Niflheim City.
-- The city that Neliad's supporters were from.
Genryuu-dono: Not even a Kafra would come here.
Ecin: Don't doubt the power of greed.
Ecin: Rotten food..
-- Something's here!
Ecin: Gen, you coming?
Genryuu-dono: Such a friendly place..
-- It's the monster from /then/! (1)
Ecin: Oh my...
Ecin: Satan...
Ecin: No good, we can't...
Ecin: Gen, extreme fist!
Ecin: Gen, we need a plan.
Genryuu-dono: It won't work!
-- Extreme Fist doesn't seem to effect it at all.
Ecin: We won't be able to do much this way.
Genryuu-dono: Crap.
!! Ecin and Gen can't stand up to Satan on their own at all.
Genryuu-dono: Nuts.
!! Satan retreats for some unknown reason.
-- It has run.
Ecin: Are you ok? Gen.
Genryuu-dono: I think so....
Ecin: Have you noticed yet?
Genryuu-dono: What?
Ecin: I'm not tired, not sweating, no fatigue.
Ecin: As if we weren't fighting with our bodies.
Ecin: ...but with our minds.
Genryuu-dono: No wonder I have a headache.
Ecin: So, maybe if we literally THINK of a way out.
Ecin: It could work.
Genryuu-dono: Where should we think of?
Ecin: ...I can't think.
Ecin: Something's blocking me.
Genryuu-dono: I'll try.
Ecin: The dead don't like the living.
Genryuu-dono: I think a ghost just "good game"d me.
Ecin: Gen, we need to get away from the tombs.
Genryuu-dono: There are tombs everywhere, though.
Ecin: Indeed... but not all are evil.
Genryuu-dono: Ah.
Ecin: We need to visit the king's tomb.
** They come to a giant circular emblem on the ground. They stand on it.
Ecin: By... what is THIS?
Ecin: A broken emblem.
Ecin: Summoning circle?
Genryuu-dono: I'm getting off, just incase.
-- The emblem flickers, and you see rocks block the town entrance.
Ecin: Seems broken.
-- It's no good, the enemy is coming.
Ecin: Great.
Genryuu-dono: I wonder if extreme fist will work now..
!! MANY MANY Whispers appear
Ecin: Maybe it wasn't as broken as I thought it was.
!! Ecin and Genryuu can't seem to handle these either.
-- It seems hopeless.
Genryuu-dono: Well, that sucked.
!! A bright flash.

** The party wakes up in the southeast part of town, far away from the Whispers.
Ecin: What the... Almanos is near?
!! Azaria, the jailer who used to work for Neliad, but switched sides, appears.
Ecin: Azaria, what are you doing here?
Genryuu-dono: ...Jailer.
Ecin: Azaria, so Almanos does have some power here.
Genryuu-dono: Probably not, sice Almanos isn't here.
Azaria: This is all we have left. If we lose here, we lose altogether.
Ecin: Us three?
Ecin: But somehow Azaria must have arrived.
Ecin: Az, do you have any idea how we got here?
Azaria: I saved you. This is the last-ditch effort.
Genryuu-dono: What are we suppose to do here?
Ecin: A bridge. I don't think ghosts can be bottle-necked.
Genryuu-dono: We are walking around blind.
Azaria: There isn't much we can do.
Ecin: You must have come with something in mind.
Azaria: I can fight, but it won't do much good.
Ecin: The fearless jailer without a plan?
Azaria: Just from back then..? (C2) Look, don't judge by appearances, I'm not that powerful.
Ecin: Garret, where are you and your grimtooth...
Genryuu-dono: He had a grimtooth?
Azaria: The forces of darkness killed Garret again.
Azaria: I'm afraid he will never return.
Ecin: Fine... *sigh*
Genryuu-dono: Garret was a katar master
Ecin: I hoped I wouldn't have to do this.
Genryuu-dono: Do what?
Ecin: Change!
!! There is a flash of light, and Ecin becomes Rogue.
Azaria: Okay then.
Genryuu-dono: Huh...? What? Explain.
Azaria: Genryuu, I want you to back up Ecin and flank them.
Azaria: I will attempt a head-on attack.
Rogue: Gen, with raid I can take many of them on at the same time.
Rogue: But I'll need your help.
Genryuu-dono: I can do this.
!! Genryuu notices Rogue's pet Baphomet Junior.
Genryuu-dono: Templar, my old friend.
Rogue: Hmm?
Rogue: Gen, what happened to Kewne?
Genryuu-dono: Got in the way and I egged him.
Rogue: Azaria, which is your power?
Azaria: What do you mean?
Rogue: Skills.
Rogue: What will you use to stop them while we prepare?
Azaria: I've been given the holy blade.
Genryuu-dono: ...Balmung?
Azaria: That is what Siegfried called it, that is true.
Azaria: The Invulnerable Siegfried, king of the town to the west..
Azaria: At least, they CALLED him invulnerable.. But he couldn't stop a god.
Genryuu-dono: Can anyone stop a god?
Azaria: I'm going!
!! Azaria rushes ahead and takes down several Whispers.
Rogue: Gen, let's go!
!! Gen and Rogue rush in and defeat several as well. The emblem glows, and Satan appears.
Azaria: It's him!
Azaria: Quickly!
!! They begin fighting, and Azaria uses Grand Cross several times, taking out several thousand damage each time.
!! The quickly defeat Satan with Azaria's help.

Templar: Why does everyone call me "Junior"? I'm ten times better than my daddy! Cuter, too!
Azaria: That's one down!
Rogue: One?
Azaria: Of his main henchmen.
Rogue: Henchmen... That wasn't HIM?
Azaria: We should be safe for the moment.
Genryuu-dono: What others does he have?
Templar: Come on, you lazy bones.
Azaria: Let's rest.
Genryuu-dono: I wish extreme fist worked.
Rogue: Azaria, you must have some knowledge of this sign.
Azaria: The other henchmen are just like that last one.
Genryuu-dono: I bet it is because of this unholy place.
Azaria: There should be two more.
Azaria: There is not a mere single Satan.
Azaria: Let's hurry! Now!
Azaria: We must find them.
Azaria: Genryuu, I ask you take the lead.
Genryuu-dono: Where?
Genryuu-dono: Which way?
Azaria: I do not know, but we must find the other two Satans.
Rogue: Gen, the area where we first saw him!
!! They go to said area, and find another Satan. Azaria rushes to save them. They defeat it.

Azaria: Are you two alright?
Genryuu-dono: I think so..
Rogue: That's the true power of grand cross.
Rogue: I envy crusaders.
Azaria: Only one like me would be able to use it in that way.
Genryuu-dono: If only extreme fist worked..
Azaria: Any normal person would kill themselves this way.
** They return to the emblem.
Genryuu-dono: I get a strange feeling around this spot.
!! The last Satan appears and attacks.
Rogue: Gen.
Rogue: We don't want more whispers.
!! Ecin returns to normal form.
** They go to the spot where Azaria first appeared.
!! They find a Satan and fight it, defeating it.

Ecin: That's the last one.
Azaria: Then all we can do is wait.
Ecin: Azaria, how did you reach us?
{Somewhat brief pause}
Ecin: Az?
Ecin: Are you ok?
Azaria: I feel something..
Azaria: It can't be...
Genryuu-dono: Oh no...
Ecin: An extremely strong monster?
Genryuu-dono: That's never good.
Azaria: South...
Azaria: South of us.. A presence..

** They walk to the south edge where they can see down a small cliff.
Ecin: Oh my...
Azaria: It's them..
Genryuu-dono: Arch-Angelrings..
Azaria: I'll take them. You two stay somewhere safe!
Ecin: Az, they can't be here alone!
Ecin: Gen, throw your spheres.
{Brief pause}
Ecin: Or not.
!! Azaria continues fighting while Ecin and Genryuu watch from the top of the cliff, but she's clearly not going to last.
Ecin: She won't survive much longer this way.
Genryuu-dono: We aren't strong enough to help.
Genryuu-dono: I wonder if my steel body would work?
Ecin: She did suggest to stay safe.
Genryuu-dono: I feel horrid to watch like this, though.
Azaria: It's no use.. I can't..
!! Azaria falls in battle.
Genryuu-dono: Some are seeping through!
Ecin: Gen, use your steel body.
Genryuu-dono: Is this the end?
-- It's no use. They are too strong. Escape.
!! Almanos's power warps them back to the emblem.
Ecin: Back to the entrance.

** They walk out onto the small strip of land.
!! Neliad himself lays ahead of the party.
Genryuu-dono: Nuts.
Ecin: Can we even fight against him on our own?
!! Airistifanese arrives.
Airistifanese: Angels!
!! Lisa-chan appears, as does Dr. Gains
Airistifanese: You're late, Gains.
Dr. Gains: Woah, gloomy.
Ecin: Gen, we should try to save Azaria.
Genryuu-dono: Where is she now?
Ecin: I suppose back in town.
Genryuu-dono: Should we go back for her?
!! Looking ahead, they see Azaria has somehow beaten them to Neliad, and is holding him off, but she's very weak.
Genryuu-dono: Wait.
Genryuu-dono: What's the plan?

** The party is a bit closer to Neliad now, and Aragon and Sasuke have arrived as well.
Airistifanese: Hit it?
Ecin: Lisa and myself are full support.
Ecin: The rest will have to attack.
-- The dark god himself waits ahead. Azaria is trying to hold him off.
-- She can't beat him.
-- She's too weak to use her most powerful attacks.
Genryuu-dono: Ready, people?
Ecin: Gen, seems like you'll be dealing the most damage.
Dr. Gains: *gulp*
Airistifanese: Always a good day to die.
Airistifanese: Especialy when it's not me dying.
Genryuu-dono: Let me lead.
Dr. Gains: Yes, Gen leads.
Genryuu-dono: I'll draw the fire.
!! They walk toward Neliad.
Ecin: Everyone attack!
Genryuu-dono: Someone back me up with healing!
!! The battle is long and hard, but they eventually prevail. Ecin changes to Rogue mid-way.

** A bright light shines, and everyone appears in a grassy field.
Airistifanese: ?
Aragon: Ahh! Where's my Peco?!
!! A young girl wearing a nice red and white outfit appears on the top of a cliff, looking down at everyone.
Almanos: The dark god. I sense he is gone.
Lisa-chan: Indeed so.
Almanos: However, many have been lost in this long war against him.
Genryuu-dono: ...Garret (1)
Almanos: Garret.. Azaria.. And nameless others.
Rogue: Yet, Azaria was with us until just now.
Rogue: How can she have gone?
Almanos: She used the last of her energy in that battle.
Almanos: She was dying before you even got there.
Almanos: As she told you, this was a last-ditch effort to end this war.
Almanos: You have all succeeded.
Rogue: Has it been ended?
Rogue: Or just been postponed.
Almanos: Not all of you are of the chosen, but all of you contributed.
Almanos: Thank you all.
Almanos: Neliad is dead, but I cannot guarantee peace.
Aragon: Where's my Peco...
Almanos: It is inevitable that mankind will fight among itself.
Almanos: And it is inevitable that someone will try to gain power.
Airistifanese: *whistles innocently*
Genryuu-dono: Will it be one of us?
Almanos: I cannot say.
Rogue: Only you can decide that, don't you think, Gen?
Genryuu-dono: ...What would I do with power?

Almanos: Lisa, Gonryun will continue to be under your eye. (3)
Lisa-chan: *nods*
Almanos: Please make it a prosperous city that all who are just may live within.
!! Almanos turns to Rogue.
Almanos: You who have hidden your identity, I will entrust you in the future with a crystal containing The Way of Light. (2)
Genryuu-dono: Hidden?
Almanos: I speak of he who has his legs crossed and shields his eyes.
!!Airistifanese walks up to Rogue and pokes him.
Airistifanese: She talking about you?
Rogue: If protect I must, protect I will.
Lisa-chan: Ah, the nameless rogue..
Almanos: Do any of you have questions?
Rogue: What of us now?
Dr. Gains: What's next?
Airistifanese: Uhhhh... Did I miss something?
Aragon: Where's my Peco...?
Almanos: I cannot tell you what is next.
Almanos: Faithful Knight, your Peco is in Prontera waiting for your return.
Rogue: What is the importance of Gonryun?
Aragon: Right...
Almanos: Gonryun has the same significance Yuno has. (1/2)
Almanos: But in a different way.
Almanos: It was the first place every created.
Almanos: Neliad and I created this world from it.
Almanos: It is a pity that things ended as they did.
Rogue: Your power must be increasing now, then...
Rogue: Without any dark forces to interfere.
Almanos: I will fade into the background, watching from above and listening to prayers.
Almanos: I will not keep peace, for to do that would mean to ruin the balance I seeked to maintain.
Aragon: Hmmm, I'm out of Zeny to get back my Peco.
{Aragon was way too Peco-centered, was he not?}

Genryuu-dono: Aragon, shut it.
Almanos: I merely entrust the keeping of peace, to my chosen and all who will worship me.
Rogue: We of different guilds have fought together today. I'm afraid this cooperation will not last.
Almanos: I do realize this.
Almanos: Fighting will always happen.
Almanos: Noone can prevent that.
Rogue: A war between Angels, Adventurers, and monsters...
Genryuu-dono: Free will.
Rogue: (Simultaneously) Namely, choice, ne Gen?
Genryuu-dono: Yeah.


Genryuu-dono: what will come of us?
Almanos: You all will certainly be remembered, I am sure that in
Almanos: even centuries from now, all will remember the names...
Almanos: Ecin...
Almanos: Genryuu...
Almanos: Lisa...
Almanos: Gains..
Almanos: Aragon..
Almanos: Sasuke..
Almanos: Airistifanese..
Almanos: And Azaria.
Almanos: And we musn't forget Templar either..
Genryuu-dono: What about the chosen from the past?
Almanos: I am certain they will not be forgotten either.
Rogue: You mean of this Garret you've spoken of?
Genryuu-dono: And Mako. (1/2/3)
Almanos: And Katola. (1/2)
Genryuu-dono: Yes.
Almanos: And Krispie, though Krispie has faded into history.. (3)
